The Declaration of Elderly Services and Management Teaching Resource Database Project and Aged Care International Docking and Teacher Training Project Presentation Conference was Successfully Held in Beijing College of Social Administration

          On April 20, 2015, the Declaration of Elderly Services and Management Teaching Resource Database Project, Aged Care International Docking and Teacher Training Project Presentation Conference was successfully held in Elderly Welfare Institute of Beijing College of Social Administration. Zhao Honggang, Vice President of Beijing College of Social Administration, Deputy Secretary-general of Senior Service and Management Teaching Committee of National Teaching Instruction Committee of Civil Affairs Vocational Education; Yang Genlai, President of Elderly Welfare Institute of Beijing College of Social Administration; Lin Ying, President of Guanghua International Education Association; Gong Lihua, Secretary-general of Guanghua International Education Association; Donald James Wildfong, Chair of Continuing Education & Specialty Programs at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning; and the other related courses leaders attended this conference.

         The conference is divided into two parts. The first half discussed the declaration of Elderly Services and Management Teaching Resource Database Project. The head of Elderly Welfare Institute of Beijing College of Social Administration first gave a detailed introduction on the following aspects of declaration: the filing of preparation work for declaration; the joint declaration institutes; reporting processes; professional construction; the raising and use of declaration funds. This was followed by a discussion among the participants on the professional construction of the fifteen major course. The participants gave a high praise to the four international nursing courses. They thought that the courses can improve the core connotation of the construction of elderly services and management, promote the internationalization of pension talent cultivation in China, and provide a better service for the pension business in China.

        In the second part, Lin Ying, President of GIEA, gave a detailed introduction on the Senior Care International Docking and Teacher Training Scheme. Donald James Wildfong, Chair of Continuing Education & Specialty Programs at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning introduced the Senior Care and Healthcare Course, developed by GIEA and Conestoga College. The participants asked a series of questions about international course and teacher training. The project director of GIEA gave a detailed answer to these questions.
