The 10th Guanghua International Nursing Conference
2013-12-04

The 10th Guanghua International Nursing Conference was held in Lisbon, Portugal from November 11th to November 12th, 2013. The conference has received great support from the professional institutions and government departments of China, Europe, America and Canada. The content covered all fields of nursing academic theory, including how the development of the nursing profession impacts the social economy, health industry, healthcare service, healthcare education, and international communication. 。

The conference has attracted over 50 nursing, clinical and educational experts and leaders of medical schools from more than 10 countries. They communicated about different countries’ nursing standards and skills; the develop of the potential nursing scientific research and relevant cooperation programs; shared the advanced nursing educational outcomes of different countries; and discussed and promoted the formation and development of the international nursing personnel training model. All the participants have spoken highly of the conference.。

Main contents of the participants’ speeches:

1、Lin Ying: President of Gunaghua International Education Association

Extended sincere gratitude to the attending experts and leaders on behalf of GIEA. President Lin demonstrated GIEA’s scientific outcomes of nursing education in recent years, and introduced the project that GIEA is currently carrying on- The Research on the Internationalized Nursing Personnel Training Model under the Modern Vocational Education System. 。

2、Wang Mei: Vice President of Beijing Health Vocational College

The title of the speech was the Exploration and Attempt of Nursing Personnel Training Model. President Wang briefly introduced the nursing major of Beijing Health Vocational College and their innovation and attempt on the nursing personnel training model. Beijing Health Vocational College attaches great importance to the integration of college education and hospital practice, and eliminates the gap between the training and use of nursing personnel. Along with training students’ comprehensive competence, they also give teachers more opportunities to practice in the clinical settings, and ensure that the teachers are informed of the latest nursing technology and concepts. 。

3、Wang Qiang: President of Henan University, School of Nursing

The title of the speech was the Present Situation and Prospects of China's higher Nursing Education. Through the enormous statistic analysis and material research, President Wang summarized four important stages of China’s nursing education development, and briefly introduced important events of each stage to help the participants know the history of China’s nursing education. As China increases the importance it attaches to nursing education, the structure of China’s nursing education is also developing to a high level. The work in the future should focus on gradually adjusting the structure of the nursing education level, promoting the revolution of nursing education, as well as accelerating the internationalization process of nursing education.。

4、JIANGHong: director of nursing department,Huashan hospital affiliated toFudan university

Around the theme of effective nurse training research, Director Jiang made a speech of “exploration of the progressive training in the multiple ways for the critical care nurses based on their competency”and shared the successful cases of the critical care nurses’s competency training in Huashan Hospital with all the conference participants.Due to the complexand critical conditions of the patients,the high requiement of the nurses,the importance of the tasks and the heaviness of the workload,the demand for improving the nurses’ competence is very urgent.Taking specialist nurse competency evaluation system at home and abroad for reference,specialty nurse competency evaluation index system which accorded with the situation in the hospital and the background of the specialty nurses was setted up in Huashan hospital. Through the progressive training in many ways, we could improve therate of rescue success and the quality of nursing service and promote the development of nursing specialty. 。

5、MA Yanlan:deputy director of nursing department ,the people's liberation army general hospital

Because of the serious outflow of nursing talents and the nursing manpower shortage ,facing the globally common problem of the shortage of nursing personnel, Director MA claimed that by perfecting the nurse career management strategy, namely by designing a clear career path to transfer the informations publically,provide adequate education training,Timely career assessment;establishing scientific evaluation mechanism and improve the job satisfaction, retention, nursing talents, promote the overall quality of nursing team so as to achieve stable care team goals.。

6、QIU Cuizhu:vice President of the people's hospital, Nanhai district, Foshan city

Vice President QIU made an detailed introduction to the work idea of “focus on the management ,technology ,talents training,subject discipline and service”in the Nanhai Hospital affiliated to the Southern medical university according to the governmental deepening reform of health system to fully mobilize the technological resources in the area. Through the “transfer,assistance and guidance”of the onsite nursing professional technology,they laid a good foundation for regional nursing work by improving the professional qualification of primary hospital staff.。

7、SHANG Shaomei: secretary of the school of nursing,the Beijing university

Secretary Shan developed an in-depth research on the project of “the construction of international integrated advanced nursing personnel training system”.Taking the contrast of Sino-British nursing curriculum for example,She explained how to construct the training system of internationally general nursing talents,practical nursing talents, foreign-related nursing talents.With GIEA as a hub, the scientific research as the basis,credits multi-recognition as the breakthrough,we should form the integration of international nursing education solutions.。

8、Wang Shefen: professor, school of the people's liberation army general hospital nurses

Clinical specialty nurses refers to the clinical nurses who have higher theoretical level and practical ability and work in a specific nursing area.By explaining the clinical specialist nurse training achievements in the people's liberation army general hospital, Professor Wang detailedlyintroduced the training of the ICU specialty nurses, and operating room nurses and the disinfection supplies specialty nurses on the targeted personnnel and objectives,training content and method, evaluation method and the training effect,which provided an important reference for each participants.。

9、Wang Wenjin: director of the training department,China vocational and technical education institute

Director Wang made a comprehensive analysis of the plan, indicators and requirements of the nursing personnel training in China nowadays.Through the analysis of the challenges throughout the nursing talents training and the effective response to it,he discussed with all the guests attending the meeting about the new mode of international nursing talent cultivation in China, and said China vocational and technical education institute will work with Guanghua international education association to fully support the international nursing talents cultivation, including standards, high quality teaching resources development and the introduction, exchange of experience, personnel exchanges, etc.At the same time, Mr.Wang believed that vocational colleges in Chinawould find a series of international nursing way, method and mode of talent training in the near future throughout the cooperation with GIEA,whichwould not only help enhance the level of China's international nursing talents and also provide a model for other developing countries experience and case.。
