On May 3, the 2012 National Vocational Skill Competition Preparation Meeting was held in Tianjin. The meeting was hosted by Ge Daokai, Director-General of Education Ministry Vocational and Adult Education Department. Deputy Director-General of Vocational and Adult Education Department of Education Ministry, Wang Yangnan, Director of Science and Education Department, State Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Zhou Xiaomei, Li Yiyang of Teaching Centre of Vocational and Adult Education Department of Education Ministry, Vice Director of Moral Education Centre of Vocational and Adult Education Department of Education Ministry, Huang Hui, attended the meeting and gave a speech respectively. President of Guanghua International Education Association, Vice Director of Nursing Competition Committee, Ms Lin Ying, Head of Guanghua International Nursing Development Research Center, member of Nursing Competition Expert Group, Zhang Yafeng, attended the meeting. More than 240 representatives attended the meeting, including：experts of education department of all the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, vocational colleges’ leaders and the other related industries’ experts, etc.

At the Meeting, Head of the 2012 National Vocational Skill Competition Preparation Meeting, gave a report on the competition’s preparation situation. Meanwhile, the relevant head of the 2012 National Vocational Colleges Teaching Results Show, 2012 National Vocational Colleges’ Students Skill Works Exhibition, the National Vocational College Morel Education and Campus Culture Construction Conference, respectively gave a speech on their respective work. The skill competition business management system training was carried out on the meeting, all the contest groups and organizing schools respectively confirmed with each other and contacted successfully, as well as gave an answer on the organization and technology of the contest project.

In the end of the meeting, Director Ge Daokai concluded in four words on the conference: " Cooperate Closely" -- This year's competition was unprecedented: the number of organizers amount to 22, the scale of contest group amount to 96, and it was expected that more than 50000 teachers and students would participate in the competition, which required all the relevant parties should have a close coordination with each other, and make preparations for the competition. "Prepare Carefully" – The main and division competition region system was launched this year. This completion had extensive competition items, and the prepare work in the division competition area should be more careful and thoughtful, especially in the details. "Mobilize Deeply " -- Especially on the participant team members’ mobilization, encouraged them to participate the competition, and not only demanded them to show their skills, but also their good psychological qualities and spirits in the competition. “Require Seriously" -- Emphasis on: safety was the first, justice was the premise, public was the guarantee, public welfare was the development direction of the competition, promoting teaching reform was the ultimate goal of the contest. Through this competition, it’s aimed to test our teaching achievements of vocational education, promote our achievement of the reform and opening-up, demonstrate our vocational colleges’ teachers and students’ profiles, and enhance vocational education’s social influence and vocational education achievements’ social recognition.
