In order to promote the teaching reform of medical colleges and implement the Education Ministry’s developmental policy of improving students’ general ability and realizing high quality employment through the adoption of quality-oriented education, Guanghua Nurse Fund held “The Third Nursing Personnel General Ability Cultivation Faculty Training” on July 19, 2011. This conference invited a number of nursing experts, and more than 50 teachers from nearly 25 schools over the country.

The conference theme was "Promote the teaching reform of medical colleges, to improve students' general abilities". At the meeting, Mr. Zhang, Director of Guanghua Nurse Fund Business Development Department, introduced the “Chinese Nursing Personnel General Ability Training Program” in three parts: background, operation pattern, and policy support of medical colleges teaching reform. Manager of North Asia and China Region, British Edexcel National Vocational Qualification and Academic Exam Institution, Mr. Gao gave an introduction on the history and prospect of British education models in China for the teachers. Afterwards, Director of Beijing United Family Hospital Nursing Department, Mr. Hu introduced Foreign Capital Hospital’s employment standards, working process, nursing grades, and training system. At last, the teaching reform experts of Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College, who have engaged in British teaching models for many years, gave an introduction on the British teaching method, course design and evaluation system for the participant teachers.

After the meeting, the teachers all said that they benefited a lot from the training. This meeting had not only provided practical guidance for teaching reform, but also provided opportunities for teachers to learn the internationally advanced teaching model. In addition, it also provided a platform for students to improve their job competence, and realize high quality employment. The teachers all hoped to have the opportunity to attend the training again in the future.
