Vocational education is an important component of the modern national education system.The Chinese government attaches great importance to vocational education and employmentguidance, promotes the combination of employment and education, as well as actively builds the modern vocational education system. As a result, China has educated a large number of high-quality and high-skilled personnel. At the same time, some developed countries are having a severe shortage of nursing personnel. The global demand for nurses will approach 3 million. The lack of nurses is a global concern, and the cultivation of internationalized nursing personnel is one of the important issues of China’s modern vocational nursing education. However, compared to vocational nursing education in developed countries; China’s vocational nursing education is still behind, especially in the training of nurses’ humanistic spirit, ethics and law. Chinese nursing educators are comparing the similarities and differences of Sino-foreign nursing education, and trying to make connections betweenSino-foreign nursing curricula. Based on previous research, this project will explore the international nursing education concepts, personnel training models, curriculum construction, and teaching quality evaluation, etc. The project will also provide integrated solutions to modern nursing personnel training, and eventually form an international nursing personnel training model.
Through the research, we will find the differences between Sino-foreign vocational nursing education, and solve the outstanding problems that exist in current nursing education. Furthermore, the project will promote the revolution and development of China’s modern vocational nursing education system by developing innovative nursing education programs.
