Fifth Stop: Henan Xinxiang Medical University Sanquan College

The first Nursing Education Tour (UK) has come to the half way mark. In the second week of the tour, the British experts mainly visited China’s central and eastern nursing colleges. On March 11th, hundreds of nursing teachers and students of Henan Xinxiang Medical University Sanquan College eagerly waited at the school hall for the education tour to arrive.

At the opening ceremony in the morning, the president of Henan Xinxiang Medical University Sanquan College, Mr Yang personally gave a warm welcome towards the guests, and the auditorium gave a big round of applause. The Secretary-General of Guanghua International Education Association, Ms. Gong Lihua gave a brief interpretation on the construction of the advanced nursing training base and a mutually recognized international credit system.

Furthermore, she also introduced the upgraded curriculum and the Britain study tour project.
At the meeting, Dr. Gibson, professor of the University of East Anglia, gave a lecture on the study of "Inquiry Learning" learning methods. During the following question period, the teachers and students of Henan Xinxiang Medical University Sanquan College asked a series of nursing education questions to Dr. Gibson in fluent English, including: As the teaching method in Britain is used for small class sizes and the Chinese teaching method is for large class sizes, how can each adapt; and how to develop an assessment process if the school uses this teaching method.

In the afternoon, the seven British colleges introduced their specific graduate programs and study tours. The teachers and students were able to participate in further exchange with the British experts at their favorite British Universities booths. Some students filled in the application forms and confirmed the study program with the British teachers.

The tour in Henan Xinxiang Medical University Sanquan College was a success, and it also gained high praise from all of the school leaders, teachers, and students.
