The First Nursing Education Tour (UK)
First Stop: Heilongjiang Nursing College

On March 4, 2013, with the support of the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy, the first Nursing Education Tour (UK) was successfully held by Guanghua International Education Association (GIEA). The exhibition continued until March 15th. GIEA organized 8 well-known British colleges to visit 9 nursing colleges around the country, aimed at promoting the integration process of international nursing education.

The first station of this tour was Heilongjiang Nursing College. The England participate colleges included: Glasgow Caledonian University, Bangor University, Anglia Ruskin University, Edinburgh Napier University, Swansea University, De Monfort University, etc. The Chinese college attendees included: President Lin, President Lee, Vice President Peng, more than 10 nursing teachers, and hundreds of foreign nursing class students.

At the opening ceremony, the Secretary-General of the GIEA, Gong Lihua first gave a warm welcome to the British universities and Heilongjiang Nursing College, and she also expressed her thanks for their cooperation. Subsequently, the two sides launched various forms of exchange activities about their own educational philosophies and teaching experiences. A series of teaching activities were discussed such as: the British teachers project, exchange student programs and English classroom teaching models; this gained high praise and recognition from all the participate teachers and students. Through this tour, the participants said that it had high participation, an interactive atmosphere, and they had a good understanding of the projects, which helps to integrate the Chinese and British cooperation into their teachings.
