Third Stop: Xiamen Higher Medical College

After the successful tour in Dalian, the tour team traveled south to Xiamen, where the weather is like spring all year round. This was the third stop of the Nursing Education tour -- Xiamen Higher Medical College.

Similarly to the the former two stations, at the opening ceremony, the Secretary-General of Guanghua International Education Association, Ms. Gong Lihua gave a speech about the conference, and then the two sides also gave wonderful speeches on their educational philosophy and goals. Afterwards, Xiamen Higher Medical College students performed a series of wonderful Chinese featured shows to the British experts, such as the art of tea making and Tai Chi, which fully reflected the enthusiasm and talent of the Xiamen Higher Medical College’s nursing students. As the experts were tired from the work of the past few days, they felt relaxed and appreciative towards the elaborated program, and gave high praise towards the student’s performance.

After listening to Dr. John Anthony Alcock’s teaching lecture in the afternoon, the school leaders and teachers of Xiamen Higher Medical College had an in-depth discussion. At the seven British Universities booths, the teachers and students of Xiamen Higher Medical College interacted positively with the British experts, showed great interest to the graduate programs and exchange projects, and signed up enthusiastically.
