Leaders from medical colleges,universities and hospitals in China went to the UK for an educational research activity organized by Guanghua International Education Association
In order to deepen the exchanges and cooperation in nursing between China and the UK, Guanghua International Education Association successfully organized the representatives from medical colleges,universities and hospitals in China to the U.K for exchange activities from February 19 to February 29, 2012.
On February 20th &21th, Guanghua International Education Association and the British council hosted the meeting together with 80 delegates from 50 colleges,universities and hospital in China, Canada and the UK attending.The delegates made an in-depth discussion on the general international nurses competence standards and formulated 10 related specialized training programs to promote the nurses’professional skill and nursing philosophy.It is believed that this meeting will greatly speed up the internationalization of nursing development in China.
After the meeting, GIEA organized the Chinese delegation to visit Glasgow Caledonian University, Liverpool John moores university,the university of Nottingham, Anglia Ruskin University and the hospitals affiliated to the universities for investigation,visiting and the potential cooperation discussion. Through the further communication in the visit,the mutual understanding between members from China and the UK has been deepened.The Chinese delegates said they learned the advanced experience of nursing education and management in the western developed countries through this visit.And the British delegates praised the Chinese universities and colleges’achievement and progress in nursing.
This activity further promoted the exchanges and cooperation in nursing among China,the UK and Canada,provided more educational opportunities for Chinese nursing and healthcare students and on-the job nurses and made contributions to the development of China’s nursing.
