In the context of international education integration, national educations in all countries are faced with the challenge and competition. Everyone is looking for cooperation. But there are many barriers led to the not significant effect on expanding the international cooperation, such as the high cost, long cycle and etc. Guanghua Nurse Fund is committed to solve the above problems, to promote the cooperation of Chinese medical colleges and universities and the British counterparts, to implement the all-round cooperation in introduction of both Chinese and English curriculum, faculty training, student exchanging, postgraduate degrees, remote education and other aspects, to motivate the reform of China nursing education, and to realize the long-term development and progress of nursing colleges and universities in China.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China Health Human Resources Development Center, China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation, undertaken by Guanghua Nurse Fund and the University of Salford, the 7th Chinese and Foreign Nursing Education Cooperation Development Forum – Sino-British School Cooperation Bid Reporting and Implementation, and the British Prime Minister Action Plan was held on October 19 - 20, 2010 in Beijing. Nearly 300 people from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and more than 100 colleges and universities at home and abroad have attended the Forum.

The forum was officially opened at 8 a.m. on October 19, 2010. Mrs. Li Xiuhua, the Director of Chinese Nursing Association and the member of the National Committee of CPPCC, Mr. Zhang Xuegao, director of the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China Health Human Resources Development Center, Pan Ping, Vice secretary of China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation and the official from British Council have attended the forum opening ceremony and delivered speeches. At the opening ceremony, 19 medical schools from all over the country have donated to the China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation Nurse Fund.

Wang Daoyu, the researcher from the Section of the Policy Planning, the MOE International Cooperation and Communion Department have attend the meeting and made a special report on Programs for the Implementation of Education, and Development of the Sino-Foreign Cooperation on School Operations. He combined with the national education outline and the spirit of national education work conference, analyzed the current situation of the nursing professional development, and outlooked the future of international cooperation in school operations and development ideas.

Mr. Zhang Junhua, the Assistant Director of the MOH Human Resources Development Center have delivered a speech with the theme: To Strengthen the International Cooperation in Nursing and to Promote Nursing Talent Exchanging.

University of Nottingham, University of Salford, Liverpool John Moores University, University of Bedfordshire, Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery at King's College London and other foreign colleges and universities have separately introduced their professional and international cooperation projects and courses.

Harbin Medical University and Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College have exchanged the experience with the fellow participants on Participating in International Exchanges and Cooperation to Advance the Strength, and Bringing in the New Teaching Mode.

Mrs. Lin Ying, the Vice President of China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation Nurse Fund, has carried on the summary speech: Giving full play to the advantages of the nurse fund platform, promoting the development of internationalization of medical colleges. In the speech, she introduced the development and work achievements of Guanghua Nurse Fund, looked to the future of the fund, and put forward the advanced concept that the international cooperation, resource sharing, unified standards, and mutual development is the key path for the development of nursing education. Nurse fund will try all efforts to speed up the internationalization of Chinese nursing education, together with the colleges, to make a total progress and development.

During the meeting, the British universities and some domestic colleges and universities have also held a seminar in building the cooperation in running school systems. The Chinese and foreign friendly schools have discussed and communicated deeply on how to realize the internationalization professional nursing students cultivation, and also on the conditions and requirements of the school cooperation. School leaders have all made their resolution that they will grasp the opportunity to cooperate with the nurse fund actively, to strengthen the communication and exchange with relevant departments, to promote the cooperation between domestic schools and the foreign colleges and universities.

The success of this conference meeting, has further deepened and strengthened the strength of the Chinese and foreign nursing teaching cooperation, and have actively promoted the development of domestic and international medical cooperation, and have made an important contribution to the development of nursing profession in China.
